IMx Concept phát triển dựa trên nền tảng EV của Nissan – nhằm tối đa hóa sự hiệu quả – sàn xe bằng phẳng tuyệt đối, không gian nội thất rộng rãi, tăng cường tính khí động học của xe.
Phong cách thiết kế của IMx truyền tải sự bóng bẩy và thể thao của một chiếc xe điện bằng các thiết kế điển hình của Nissan.

Bảng điều khiển toàn cảnh OLED hiển thị góc nhìn mở rộng quanh xe trong thời gian thực.
Dải vân gỗ riêng biệt nằm dưới bảng điều khiển trung tâm và bao lấy viền nội thất, mang lại nét tinh tế, tương tự như shoji – một loại giấy truyền thống của Nhật Bản.
Các họa tiết Katanagare trên ghế được khắc tinh vi bằng máy cắt laser. Phần tựa đầu – lấy ý tưởng từ kumiki, một trò chơi xếp gỗ Nhật Bản – được làm từ vật liệu silicon mềm và khung được sản xuất bởi máy in công nghệ 3D.
